What's happening at the dome these days anyways...........
Even though the Dome
is closed during the summer, we're still thinking about golf and our valued
customers.
New Balls and Mats:
Next year we will be
installing new hitting mats, as well as buying new balls.
We want to keep your experience here outstanding.
We’ll re-open November 1, 2006. By
the way, the old mats are available for purchase.
Kudos to our Teachers:
Winter is a great time
to work on your game. And the best
teachers are at the dome. Chuck
Lynch was voted Illinois PGA Teacher of the Year,
and Dan Kochevar was named Illinois PGA Junior Leader. Gary Pinns also instructed Rob Grube who won this
years State Amateur by 11 strokes. Dan
Kochevar instructs for lasts year’s champion Brad Marek. Schedule a lesson with one of these gurus or one of our many
other fine instructors and see strokes come off your game next season.

See yourself in action and you’ll see where you want to improve your

Trouble lies practice
available: Most
of us practice from good lies on level surfaces.
Yet, we often encounter less than perfect lies on the course.
This year we have added a
slanted golf mat so you can practice side hill lies!

Golf Lessons: Our staff of top notch golf
professionals are here to help take strokes off your game. With our
stat of the art V1 professional teaching software, virtual
golf simulator and training aids - you'll improve quickly and impress your
friends next year. Each professional has their appointment book at the
front desk so stop by or call ahead to book your next lesson.
Group lessons begin in January and February, a great way to improve your game in
a very cost effective way and have fun doing it - all starts by signing up!
The 5 lesson session start Sunday, January 8th (no classes on Super Bowl
Sunday). A second series of classes star on Tuesday, February 14th.
Cost is $99.00 for juniors and $119.00 for adults.

TO ALL FRIENDS OF THE WHITE PINES GOLF DOME:
Great news! The White Pines Golf Dome reopened on November 1st and is better then ever.
As always, we have made some improvements to continue to make our dome the best in the world. The biggest change this year is the additional of a new 42 foot long by 16 foot wide putting green. Unlike most artificial greens on the market which are sand based and put inconsistently, this green rolls like a gem and will make your putting game much better when spring arrives. It has a slight contour and putts better than any indoor green I have ever seen.
The Indoor golf simulator we installed last year has added two (2) new golf courses. As an incentive to try the simulator we are offering a e-coupon entitling the bearer plus his/her friends to a 50% off round of golf if used by December 25, 1999 (click here). Another improvement is our new software and camera for the simulator whereby the simulator will record a golfer's swing, provide a swing analysis and compare the swing to other golfers including your swing or tour players swings. This is a GREAT way to improve your golf game. During selected hours this year, we will provide a 15 minute swing analysis using these features for only $20 if you bring in a blank videotape.
The dome will continue to be open every day from 7a.m. until 11 p.m. and prices remain the same as last year. We hope you will purchase a discount pass. The cost is only $30 and provides the purchaser with discounts averaging 15 to 20 percent less than the normal rate. Additionally, all holders of the discount card will receive Wilson Golf Clubs and other selected golf clubs at 10 percent over the Professional Price.
Our PGA and LPGA staff is the best in the Midwest. This year we added Jon Reese who was named Illinois PGA Teacher of the Year. Other staff members are Marty Joyce, Chuck Lynch, Dan Kochevar, Rachael Teresi, Gary Pinns and Margie Muzik-Curtis. We also added two outside golf club experts. Mark Pekarek from Green Grass Club fitting will be our professional club fitter and club maker and will be at the dome on Sundays. He has the latest equipment for choosing the right club for you. His True Temper Shaft Lab is the ultimate golf shaft fitting system. The Lab captures the downswing to analyze a golfer's deflection and swing profile. Also new is Mark Sassano from Fore Kaddy Golf. Mark is an expert club repairman and will provide the finest in services and quality for all your club repair needs. He will be here on Saturdays and will provide same day service.
To make the White Pines Golf Dome even more fun and worthwhile, we will be holding many events during the year. Some of these are listed below. See our EVENTS section to find out more.
